So I had a trio of dreams.
The first two were eh. Number one showed me that I watch too much Metalocalypse (I was Charles Ofdensen, and I had to break out of this place somewhere and save the band.)
Number two was influenced by these crazy storms that have been happening. I was at some celebrity BBQ-style event, and there was an enormous storm that ended up being the Rapture. Then it blew away and revealed a light. I had hoped it was the sun, but I was disheartened to find the moon. Then a horseman appeared, and he began to pursue and behead everybody. (Yeah, the storm from the day before really was super intense.)
But those aren't really what I wanted to talk about. I wanted to put down the last dream.
In this last dream, I was walking across a lawn towards a large building. Scattered throughout the lawn were statues of the world's religious symbols. I only remember seeing the one closest to the door (the head of Buddha) - I only know about the others because I heard others making remarks.
Soon, I approached the building. It was probably a little larger than the White House, and it was made of the most beautiful, pristine white marble. The pillars were not simple columns - rather, they were carved in the images of the great people throughout time - philosophers, doctors, mathematicians, and more. I did not see these pillars, either - again, I simply heard other people remark on their greatness. I was kneeling at the steps (which were also glossy white marble), and I was torn between awe at their size and irritation at the excessive quality of something as simple as steps. Still, I brushed it off, stood up, and joined the small crowd that was filing inside.
The main hall piqued my interest. The inside matched the outside in its brilliant whiteness and its pillars. Placed around the hall (like a museum) were artifacts in glass cases - proof of mankind's progress and search for truth and peace. One thing that particularly grabbed me was the lights. As more people came in, the lights slowly became brighter (my theory behind the light design was that more people meant more ideas, more "light" being brought into the world.)
People chattered excitedly about the purity of the room and the greatness of the artifacts. One guy next to me, however, made the smart remark about people coming in after eating chocolate cake (he looked like a young Louis C.K., and apparently had the dry humor to match.) I gave a small laugh, then saw that we were all headed to an auditorium. We were headed to a service of some kind - a service to celebrate life and humanity and to develop ideas to make the world a better, more united place.
We were of various creeds and nationalities, but we were voluntarily coming together in this building to attain the same goals. Everyone talked to each other, laughed with each other, and shook hands with each other as we moved along.
I wrote all of this because I am unable to draw it. I can't draw buildings for anything. I'd like to think that I could take a course one day and draw it out for you. But for now, this dream will just have to stay in written form on a crappy page.
